I absolutely agree with Local Guide William Sherman!! He gave incredible advice, yes arrive to our beautiful Island, relax and get your bearings. Then decide if and when you would like to go. Our Lava Tour Groups are amazing, talk with them , then schedule. You never know how the water will be ahead of time. And Please, Enjoy your time here. The Hilo Hawaiian Hotel employs some amazing people!
Price are not to bad
Nope sorry
Almost. But all services come at a cost
About $100. Depends what kine of room you want, the price will differ. But the average price is about a hundred dollars, more or less. Hope this helps.
Outdoors. I didn't see a gym
Yes.?
They are not on the course. Not sure if they offer a package or not, would have to ask them
HAPPY HOUR REVIEW: No no no no! We fell into a tourist scam. I mean obviously $1 tapas is a little too good to be true anyways but my partner's old fashioned tastes like water and it had a bug in it. Definitely skimped on the wine as well. And as for the appetizers they were barely thr size of a spoonful - the ceviche had no flavor or salt and the broccoli crab salad was pure cheap mayonnaise. We walked out of there paying $30 somehow but at least we got a lot of laughs because of how terrible it was. Highly not recommended.
I enjoy this buffet on the nights they serve seafood. The ahi sashimi with wasabi shoyu alone is worth the price. They have a great selection of other local food, prime rib, and some Asian staples as well. Basic beer and wine is included and the dessert spread is pretty thorough. The wait staff has always been attentive and gracious which is not always the case at buffets. Plus there is live music. Basically we go here around the end of summer and around the holidays and always enjoy it.
The Breakfast on New Years 2019 was AMAZING!
Went on Friday nite for the seafood buffet. It was below average. Save your $$.
This was the best food and service! The staff were all amazing! The drinks we so refreshing! My husband and I ordered the crabcakes and a salad for our appetizers. I had the shrimp scampi it was not only the best shrimp scampi I have ever had, it was also the best dish! My husband ordered the stuffed pork chop with mashed potatoes and he loved it. We can not wait to return!
Delicious brunch and bloody mary.
My fav place to go on the big Island located in the hilo hawaiian hotel. Friday's is seafood buffet and Saturday's is prime rib buffet.
Great food, great atmosphere. Service is a little slow. Little pricey, I would suggest $45. $55 is a little steep for the experience, especially if you are a non-drinking family. Perhaps an adjustment can be made for those who drink water, tea and soda only. Overall I would come back.
I have to say, it’s all about the crab legs. This casual, but very pleasant restaurant that is conveniently located in the Hilo Hawaiian is a hidden gem. The buffet was a typical assortment of well-prepared local favorites, but the crab legs were some of the best I have ever had. They were tasty, juicy, and full of meat. Well worth the mess you have to endure cracking into them. Another thing that stood out was how nice and attentive the staff were. All the staff were full of smiles and cheerful. Not what you normally get at a buffet dinner anywhere. Finally, the Passion Fruit soft serve was fantastic. It wasn’t to sweet or tart and perfectly ended the meal, but there was a very large assortment of other desserts if soft serve isn’t your thing. The price seemed high at first, but considering the quality of the food, free soft drinks, beer, wine, and coffee, along with the delightful service, it is totally worth the price and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
Would suggest to stay and eat at this place. They got good variety and even if they don't, they try to meet up with your demands. Polite Staff
Food was good. Drinks were delicious
My family, especially my son LOVES the weekday breakfast buffet!
Wonderful atmosphere, unbeatable service and the food is delicious.
*Decent breakfast buffet (scrambled eggs, Portuguese sausage, bacon, pineapple wedge, orange slice, banana bread, English muffin with cream cheese)*Friendly staff
The Friday night seafood buffet is almost as good as those famous Vegas buffets.
Food was really good! The whole family enjoyed.
Breakfast is $24 per adult, $12 for kids. Not worth it for cold eggs and kielbasa. We pointed out to the wait staff that the food was cold and they promptly sent out the chef to check, who eyeballed my entire family in the process, as if it were our fault his food was cold. The staff and management were very reluctant to discount the breakfast until we found mold on several items. The cleanliness of the buffet was 2/5, wait staff was 3/5, management was 1/5. Atmosphere is 5/5 but the view only goes so far when service is so bad. People don't pay as much as we did to come to places like this just in order to leave hungry and be forced to make a quick stop at McDonald's drive thru before beginning thier day. Overall experience was a 1/5 and left us wondering where to eat for breakfast after we just ate breakfast.
My drink was ok but pretty sweet
Love the food, the atmosphere, and the people
Friendly workers ...Onolicious food
The food was pretty good. Only complaint I have is the breakfast buffet, the food was cold. Dinner buffet was awesome. Wait staff is great!
I ordered a mix drink and it was served with a bug in the ice. They didn't offer any discounts or drink on the house for the issue. Ceasar Salad was barebones with barely any dressing, lettuce and some small croutons. The garlic bread was cheap garlic toast. Penne Bolognese was ok. Shrimp Scampi only had a few shrimp, way too much pasta and hardly any sauce. The sauce was oily and flavourless. The wait staff were ok. The restaurant was empty and made the experience awkward.
Great food. Great Dessert. Staff with AlohaHighly recommend
Great food and the most beautiful views of the ocean.
First time there had great food
Looked pretty classy but the 50 per person was more than a little detracting. If the evenings meal had been more appealing we might have been tempted to go in.
Breakfast buffet was great. For $25 with guest hotel coupon. Great views
Came here for breakfast buffet! Great options for vegetarians! My personal favorites: Hashbrowns, crumble cake! There were many pastry options, juice, different style of eggs, pancakes, waffles, bagels etc Perfect continental breakfast! Best of all, great bay view! We got a table near the window! Enjoyed my breakfast! However, it was pretty expensive at 26$ per person! But Hilo Hawaiian Hotel residents get 5$ coupon off for buffet though everyday!
Very nice view. Okay food. The service here is okay, very nice but where are the drinks? Why does it take so long to get water, coffee or anything?
Great buffet. No idea where the mixed reviews are coming from... Nice colonial-like atmosphere with some live music and good various food. Really good food. Ive been all over the world, so I can differ good and so-so:)
This restaurant is in Hilo Castle Hawaiian hotel. They offer buffet breakfast and dinner and also a small menu for each. I think buffet is overpriced at $26 for breakfast. We ordered from the menu every time. Portions were large and quality was good. I recommend it for breakfast. For dinner there are many better options around.
Very nice selection of food but a bit pricey. The buffet includes wine and beer. They have awesome service and friendly staff. Very nice view.
Great Valentine's buffet to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, it was noted on our reservation and not a single member of staff or management wished us a happy anniversary. Yikes😛
Friendly people, wonderful atmosphere, and fast help, and ONO food.
Normally I would give more stars but last nights buffett was not up to par. The food was not hot and my coffee was semi warm. The service is great though, they are on it with the refills and clearing of plates. Just wish the food and coffee was hot. Desserts were good though, the Likikoi Napolean was the Bomb.
Good buffet but to pricey for the quality of food. Worth it for groups/some special occasions but that's about it.
Had the all you can ear buffet which ahad suckling pig , snow crab and prime rib.
Pleasant service and atmosphere; live weekend entertainment with a small dance floor.
The foods are great, but the buffet is very expensive for ordinary people. I loved the giant crabs and seafood. After a few rounds, I was already full and didn't feel like I got my money's worth. The waitress was nice, though.
The service was excellent! Coffee, wine & beer never went dry. The crab legs was good, lobster claws just ok. Great price for buffet!
Best place for buffet. Friday night's is seafood, all you can eat crab legs, and prime rib! There is other choices there too which is also pretty good. Unlimited drinks are included. The desert selection looks good, but only some of them taste good.
Always have great time, staff is pleasant, love the pasta station addition and the desserts can only get better
Delicious Hawaiian buffet food. Great place to go to occasionally. Little bit on the pricey side if I must say but damn, your tummy will thank you after. Service is okay and can be a little better. I would recommend this place to go eat but not most of the time unless you got some cash laying around.
Small menu, but focused makes for a fantastic meal. The outdoor seating, paired with a phenomenal view down to the coastline of the island is a great way to cap an evening off, especially around sunset. All food is locally sourced, farm to table (from what we are told), and the quality reflects that. Worth the trip off the highway to find.Service was prompt, with great suggestions. Would gladly go back again.
One of the best buffets. Go on seafood night. Good poke. Prime rib was delicious. Over looking the harbor.
Extensive buffet but eggs were cold, omelets would have been better if preparer had sauteed the veggies first.
Great food and nice view of the Hilo bay
First ones there, sat us by the door, table dirty. Not the greatest.
Sunday brunch recently went up in price ($50/person), while offerings went down (no more lobster claws, no more bacon for the Bloody Marys). Two of my Alaskan crab clusters were frozen solid. Wines remains good, beer offered remains low quality (Coors Lite). Still the only seafood buffet in East Hawaii, however.
Great employees. From Sheila taking our reservation to the Queen's Court staff. Our dinner was excellent.
